Consider Renting a Forklift Machine in Delhi NCR

Forklifts On Rental and Housekeeping Services

Most authorized OEM lift-truck distributors, in addition to selling powered industrial equipment, offer their customers a forklift rental fleet. Such fleets are intended to provide forklift rental for short-term use during spikes in business or inventory count or to tide over a business to move to a different location. Short-term rentals can mean a lot for a short time, but what does it mean to rent for a longer period?

In Part 1 of this mini-blog-post series, we will examine the benefits of renting a forklift, to purchase a new or used unit. In Part 2, we will address the economics and practical reasons for renting a forklift, as well as compare renting to purchase a lift truck. When deciding between renting and buying, it is important to consider the following:
  • Overall cost of ownership
  • Fleet flexibility
  • fleet management
  • Service and repair
  • Fleet sizing

Short term rent

For a company that sells and sells material handling equipment, the economics are based on when the fleet becomes worthless. The larger the risk fleet remains idle, the higher the rental rate the forklift rental company needs to cover its costs. Therefore, there is a tradeoff between the price of rent and the flexibility of the term.

Reducing your forklift rental rate

Many lift-truck companies have weekly and monthly rates. Because for long-term rentals, forklift rental companies may be willing to discount their rates to reduce their risk of equipment (and uncontrolled) assuming it is not during the busy season, instead of the minimum period Ask for discount. Rental managers can accept lower payments as long as they feel they have enough equipment available to all their customers.

Five benefits of buying versus renting a forklift

Forklift Rental Services

  • Hiring a forklift is the biggest benefit in flexibility versus renting. If your business is experiencing instability, high growth, or rapid change, the cost of buying or selling a lift truck can be much higher than choosing a flexible rental option.
  • A forklift rental can be considered a capital expenditure versus an operating expense. Using expenses to reduce taxable income can be simpler than reducing assets purchased. Check with your CPA to understand the potential tax benefits of renting a forklift.
  • Businesses who rent forklifts eagerly know if they can take as many lift trucks as they want. Businesses are often more cost-effective when renting a forklift, as they carefully consider the justification for payment each month. This causes warehouse managers to be more careful about having surplus equipment.
  • Each lift truck requires maintenance and repair. Renting a forklift on a full-service schedule removes the risk of making costly and unexpected maintenance repairs. While lift-truck repairs for proprietary equipment can be sporadic and result in large, unpredictable bills, rental payments have inherent service and repair costs. There is no need to come up with cash to repair the forklift. Just call the forklift rental company and ask for the unit to be repaired or replaced.
  • Seasonal highs and lows or quarterly inventories matter in some businesses. When the business can plan for predictable seasonal needs, rental is a better option. Using the rental program, you can spend with increased revenue and plan to return lift trucks when business slows down.
